There is no love lost between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto. Their feud has now broken into the open with the two trading barbs in rallies at the expense of the other. While Kenyatta runs interference, Azimio la Umoja flag bearer Raila Odinga appears to be moonwalking toward the finish line as Ruto trains the brunt of his attacks on a president who's retiring in less than two weeks.
The Kenya Kwanza running mate appears to have been found guilty of what he described as state capture. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Gacagua used his connections in to award himself contracts through multiple shell companies and pocketed the cash without supplying the goods or services and sometimes supplying sub-par equipment that broke down almost immediately.
