Masit was the only commissioner who faced the tribunal. Her colleagues, Former IEBC Vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera and commissioners Francis Wanderi and Justus Nyang'aya, resigned from IEBC before the hearings charging the process was unfair.
Commissioner Justus Nyang'aya accuses IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati of reassigning his ICT role to another staffer without an explanation. He also claims 377 unauthorized people accessed the IEBC server on election day. And that a person named Gudino Omor, gained full access to the IEBC servers since June, and altered documents without following protocols.
Elizabeth Omolo is the second IEBC officer to assure the diaspora they'll be voting during regular voting hours in their local embassy or consulate at a similar time as Kenyans at home. Last week Commissioner Justus Nyang'aya stated IEBC held a meeting to make it easier for diasporas to vote in the upcoming elections.
