Family, Friends and Mourners Bid Final Farewell to Mary, Brianna and Adrianna Stanton in an Emotional Funeral Service
Mary Njoki Stanton and her daughters Brianna and Adrianna were gunned down on December 2nd. Gary Stanton, husband to Njoki and father to the girls, turned the gun on himself after killing his family in one of the worst murder-suicide case ever to affect the Kenyan diaspora community. The family has provided a YouTube link to enable those who cannot attend to view the funeral online.
ICC Appeals Court Affirms LRA Commander’s Guilty Verdict
Dominic Ongwen was The Lord's Resistance Army Commander. He's been found guilty of 61 counts of crimes against humanity. Before the appeal, Ongwen was facing a 25-year sentence. LRA leader Joseph Kony remains in hiding. The US is offering up to $5 million for information leading to his arrest.
Community Rally Behind Family of Murder-Suicide Victims
Mary Njoki Stanton and her two daughters Adrianna, 17, and Brianna, 11, were murdered on December 2nd. Njoki is remembered as a loving mother, a nurse and an entrepreneur. A 2007 news report indicates the husband was involved in a gun incident that led to the lockdown of a local hospital.
