In response to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, Kenya’s State Department for Diaspora Affairs, Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu, has issued an urgent advisory calling on all Kenyan nationals in both countries to take immediate steps to safeguard their lives.
“We are monitoring the situation closely and are fully committed to the safety and well-being of every Kenyan abroad. Your security is our highest priority,” Njogu said in the June 18th advisory.
As the conflict intensifies, PS Njogu’s directive outlines critical safety measures and provides essential contact points for support and evacuation, reaffirming the government’s readiness to respond swiftly should conditions worsen.

“If you have not yet registered your presence, do so immediately. This could be the difference in reaching you during an evacuation,” PS Roseline Njogu.
Safety Instructions to Kenyans Abroad:
- Exercise Extreme Caution in public and avoid unnecessary exposure.
- Limit Non-Essential Movement, especially near conflict-prone areas.
- Stay informed through trusted media and official embassy channels.
- Follow Local Instructions from authorities without delay.
- Be Emergency Ready with key documents and basic supplies on hand.
The PS emphasized the importance of registering with Kenyan embassies in Tel Aviv and Tehran for faster communication and assistance.
